De Atomic MFX-KIT is a linkless 2WD competition F1 chassis designed around an extremely low centre of gravity. The centrally positioned inline battery configuration keeps the weight concentrated along the centreline of the chassis.
Virtually all the key components are made from high-quality 7075 aluminium of carbon fibre, with the exception of parts such as plastic ball cups and gears.
To lower the centre of gravity further, Atomic has moved the central damper to the rear of the chassis. This means that additional weight above the battery is no longer required. The side dampers are mounted low on both sides of the chassis, whilst an opening in the main chassis allows the steering servo to be positioned even lower.
The pivot-ball front suspension system offers extensive adjustment options. The roll centre and camber gain can be precisely adjusted by adding or removing shims at the pivot points of the control arms.
